Year One Success at LUC!

In its first ever year, LUC leapt straight into the top three interdisciplinary programmes in the The Netherlands, ranking a close third behind the liberal arts & sciences programmes in Middelburg (2nd) and Maastricht (1st).

At the end of the academic year 2010-11, there was the annual, national student questionnaire in The Netherlands.  This questionnaire asks students from all over the country to rate their programmes and institutions on a series of different criteria. The results, derived from the complete 'Nationale Studenten Enquete (NSE), are collated and published on the website Kiesjestudie.nl.

In the break down of the marks awarded, LUC came out as the best University College in a number of important areas, including: quality of instructors, quality of supervision & tutorial services, provision of student information, preparation for life after university, and sense of involvement in the college.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the staff and students of LUC for making its first year such a success, and to challenge the new cohort to move things to an even higher level this year!
