When do I have to register?
In order to receive your student card (which provides access to the university library and other facilities) and to have access to all services from Leiden University you should return the registration forms from Leiden University August 1 the latest. This deadline is also important to ensure your registration with the DUO-IB-groep, if applicable.
Which documents do I have to include to register for Leiden University?
1. Completed and signed form.
2. A copy of your passport or identity card. Non-Dutch living in the Netherlands with a residence permit: a copy of your residence permit (back and front) and a recent copy of the GBA (Gemeente Basis Administratie).
For non-Dutch who are not living in the Netherlands: a copy of your passport
3. The official “Decision on Admission” letter, and, if required (check your "Decision on Admission") a certified copy of the original diploma and corresponding transcript.
4. Proof of payment: A completed and signed authorisation form payment college fees OR a bank statement showing that the college fee has been paid.
When will I receive my student card?
Once the college fee has been paid you will receive your student card and proof of registration as soon as possible. These documents can, for example, be used to apply for a student insurance via Leiden University.

You can direct your questions concerning registration with Leiden University to the Informationdesk at Studentcentrum Plexus in Leiden.

When do I start?
The LUC The Hague academic year runs parallel with that of Leiden University: starting in September. Classes start on September 6 and will take place at the Academic Building at Lange Voorhout 44.
