How do I complete my registration?
Even though you have been accepted into LUC The Hague, you will still have to register with Leiden University in order to receive your student card (which provides access to the library and other facilities) and to have access to all services from Leiden University. You can do so by going to the following website: www.studielink.nl. If you have an official home address in the Netherlands you will have to log in with your DigiD. You can apply for a DigiD through www.digid.nl. Students with a home address outside of the Netherlands have to choose : "Request login details and log in".
Once you have your login details you can create your own account. At the top of your homepage you will see "Welcome (your name)" and "possible actions". Please opt for "New enrolment application" and "Continue to the next step". For your enrolment application fill in the following:
Academic year: Academic year you want to start at LUC The Hague
Level study programme: University
Course category: Bachelor's or other non master programmes
Search further by: Study programme title
When choosing for which programme you would want to register, make sure you fill in:
B Lib Arts and Sciences: Global Challen
(Liberal Arts and Sciences: Global Challenges)
Choose the course starting date, answer the remaining questions and do not forget to fill in your Student ID from LUC The Hague. Finally you will have to confirm that your details are correct by checking the box at the bottom of the page. Then click on: "Send my enrolment application". This completes the registration procedure.
Do I need to send documents to LUC The Hague?
LUC The Hague needs of every student a certified copy of their diploma and transcript. Some students have already sent these documents to us with their application. Students who graduate over the summer will still have to sent these. A certified copy is a regular copy of the diploma and transcript with a original stamp and signature of the school on it. We can only accept the original document and not a scan.
Do I need to send my diploma and transcript to Leiden University?
No, LUC The Hague needs these documents and will make sure that the documents which are necessary for your registration will be processed by Leiden University as well. You do not need to send them to Leiden University.
Do I need to send the authorization form for the payment of the tuition fee to Leiden University?
Yes, the form for the payment of the tuition fee needs te be sent directly to Leiden University to the Studentenadministratie. Only students with a Dutch address will receive this form. All students with an official home address abroad will receive this form through LUC The Hague.
When will I receive my student card?
Once the college fee has been paid you will receive your student card and proof of registration as soon as possible. These documents can, for example, be used to apply for a student insurance via Leiden University.

You can direct your questions concerning registration with Leiden University to the Informationdesk at Studentcentrum Plexus in Leiden.

The LUC The Hague introduction week is mandatory for all students. More information about the programme will be published soon.
