Visiting Speaker Lecture Series

The LUC Research Centre's Visiting Speaker Lecture Series is organised for students and staff of LUC The Hague, the wider academic community of Leiden University (and beyond), the various governmental bodies and international organisations and NGO’s that have their offices in The Hague.

The LUC Research Centre's Visiting Speaker Series

In its first year of activity, the LUC Research Centre aims to present a wide and varied programme of events in order to showcase the diversity of multi- and inter-disciplinary interests at LUC.  Hence, the LUCRC seeks to introduce its audience and participants to the many dimensions and viewpoints that characterise ‘Global Challenges: Peace, Justice, and Sustainability.’

Unless advertised otherwise, the lectures are on Wednesday afternoons from 16.15 to 18.00 and are usually composed in the following way: 45 minute lecture, a 15 minute break, followed by 45 minutes of discussion and Q&A. Furthermore, the venue for the lectures is: Lange Voorhout 44, room M0.02, this will also be mentioned if this is not the case.

The visiting speaker programme has been carefully designed to match the profile and interests of LUC; it is a special addition to the normal curriculum of LUC students, and hence students are warmly encouraged to attend as many of them as possible.  All lectures in the series are free of charge and although some will require registration.
