Course Literature

LUC The Hague is pleased to announce its cooperation with booksellers Van Stockum to provide students with a quick, easy and good value system to order the literature for their courses.

Van Stockum booksellers has set up a website on which students can find the books for each course listed per course and semester. If the course uses a hard copy reader, you will also be able to include the reader here as soon as the content has been received.

 

You can place your order online and either have the books delivered at home or pick up your order from the bookshop itself, which is very close to The Hague Central Station.

If you order two or more books at the same time, you are eligible for a 5% discount!

How does it work?

  • Go to: www.studieboekenkorting.nl

  • For the English version of this website, click on the British flag at the top, on  the right. 

  • Click on the button ‘LUC The Hague’ on the left 

  • In the menu your study programme has already been selected: Liberal Arts & Sciences 

  • You can ignore level/year 

  • Select the course you are registered for in the drop down menu at ‘course’. 

  • In the window that automatically opens, select the appropriate semester 

  • Select the books you want to order. The website indicates if a certain book is recommended. If it does not say recommended, it is obligatory. 

  • Click ‘add to cart’ and then proceed to the next course if so required. 

  • Once you have put all your books in the virtual cart, click order and follow the steps to set up your profile (only required at the first order) 

  • You can now also select how you would like to receive your order (pick up or delivered) 

  • The next page offers you a gift wrapping option, but below that also the 5% student discount. You should enter your student ID there (collegecard number) 

  • Finally you get the overview of your order and if all is as you wish, you can place your order. 

  • If you have indicated that you want to collect the books from the bookshop on Herengracht 60, you will pay at the store. If you have opted for delivery, you can either pay by creditcard or iDeal, which is linked to a Dutch bankaccount. 

  • Please note that the literature provided here is based on the information provided by course instructors in the outlines of courses.
