Mr. Aernout van Lynden is the Student Life Officer (SLO) at LUC. The SLO has a wide range of duties relating to the LUC community, including the provision of guidance and counselling to students. You can talk to him about residential concerns, welfare issues and your personal development. The SLO works closely with other members of academic staff, including the Resident Assistants, tutors, the Senior tutor, and with other support services across the University. LUC’s Residential Assistant are students like you, but with more experience of LUC. They are the foundation of the Student Life Programme at LUC. Their mission is to foster a healthy living and learning environment, and a strong sense of inclusive community within LUC. The RAs fall under the supervision, leadership and guidance of the Student Life Officer. During the 2015-2016 academic year there will be seventeen RAs on campus, one per residential floor. Your first port of call for any social or residential issue is your RA.
Please be aware that one RA will be on-call each night from 19:00-08:00 to ensure that support remains available to all residents. It will be cleary posted which RA is on-call each night on each of the RA's doors, and on the posters by the elevators.

Students live on campus for the first two years of their studies at LUC. After this period you have to arrange your own accommodation. It is advised to start register for Housing upon your arrival at LUC, to ensure that you have appropriate accomodation during your third year.
